So Many Smiles - Show Us Your Stuff March Challenge

Hello and welcome!

I have another layout to share with you today, and it is my entry into the Show Us Your Stuff March challenge! The challenge this month is to use this quote on your project (as well as including a handmade item)...

Here is my layout...
"So Many Smiles"

These photos were from the newborn photo shoot that we had done when Eleanor was 2 weeks old... So precious!!

Here are some closeups of my layout...

My handmade items are the epoxy circles that I made with my Epiphany Craft tool :)

I created the title for my layout using a Silhouette cut file - it was perfect for this challenge!

The roses were also cut using my Cameo - I love this cut file!

Can't get enough of flairs at the moment - they seem to be my go-to embellishment! This green chevron one is by Fancy Pants :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my layout. Thanks to those who leave me a comment as well - I do enjoy reading them!

Love - Sassy Scrappers and Picture This March Challenges

Hi there!

Today I am sharing my layout that I completed for the March mood board Challenge at Sassy Scrappers and the March 1st Challenge at Picture This!

The challenge at Sassy Scrappers this month is to be inspired by this mood board...

March Moodboard Challenge

Isn't it just beautiful!! I was inspired by the gorgeous colour palette as well as the lovely flowers!

And the challenge at Picture This! is to use: 1 Photo + Circles + Tilt

Here is the layout that I created...
"Love"

I adore these colours and thought they would be perfect for a layout of my newborn baby girl!

For the Picture This challenge criteria, I used 1 photo, circles (including a flair and a couple of stickers/die cuts), and instead of tilting my photo, I tilted my title!

Here are some closeups of my layout...

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out these roses from white cardstock. Then I created a bit of a watercolour effect behind the cut out roses using distress inks... I really like the effect of it showing through and its super easy!!

My journalling :)

I'm really loving those gold thickers!! They make it so easy to create a really striking title!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my layout! Thank you so much for visiting!

Happy Boy - White with 1 March Challenge

Hello there Scrappy friends!

Today I am sharing my layout that I created for the March challenge at White with 1!

This is the challenge for this month...

ww1 hemlock

I can't say that I've heard of the colour 'hemlock' before, but isn't it such a yummy colour!!

Here is my layout for this challenge...
"Happy Boy"

I really like the challenge of using only 1 colour with white! This layout came together quite quickly after I pulled out a selection of papers and embellishments in the right colour. Its a little hard to see in the photo but I also added some stencilling to the background using a green gelato and gesso mixed together.

Here are a few closeups of my layout so that you can see the details...

The word 'happy' came in a box of PL embellishments that I recently purchased - I mounted it with some foam tape to pop it up off the page. The word 'boy' is a very old Kaisercraft rubon that I've had in my stash for years!

My cluster of embellishments down the left-hand side includes some more PL embellishments and cards, a Maggie Holmes chipboard sticker, a Simple Stories sticker, BasicGrey sticker, October Afternoon flair, and Heidi Swapp ephemera! As you can see, I really just grabbed anything from my stash in the 'hemlock' colour and layered all the pieces together until I was happy with the composition.

Thank you so much for visiting today & for any comments that you leave for me!

Stuck?! Sketches March 15th DT Reveal

Welcome and thank you so much for visiting my blog!

Today is the Design Team reveal for the March 15th challenge at Stuck?! Sketches!!! I am so excited to be on this team with such a talented group of ladies!!

Take a look at the awesome sketch that Laura has created for us to use for this challenge...

Here is my take on the sketch...
"Hello"

I really enjoyed using this sketch as the starting point for my layout! The photos are of Abigail on her 2nd Birthday. We bought her this Wiggles pop-up tent for her birthday and she loved it! She kept popping her head out to say "Hello" - hence my title!

The papers that I used are Glitz Design - I think that they are so fun and pretty! For the circular element on the sketch, I used a Silhouette cut file to create a large doily from the yellow paper. The embellishments are a mixture from my stash including Maggie Holmes stickers and chipboard, Simple Stories Bits & Pieces, My Minds Eye Sticker and Enamel Dots, BasicGrey flair and sticker, American Crafts Thickers, as well as some co-ordinating stickers from Glitz Design! I wanted to create a bright and fun page with lots of colour!

Here are some closeups of my layout...

How awesome are enamel dots!!

I'm loving adding gold embellishments to my layouts at the moment and the sparkly gold thickers are so eye catching!

My title is another Silhouette cut file that I cut from black cardstock and then mounted with foam tape to give it some dimension.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my layout. Please do pop on over to the Stuck?! Sketches blog to check out the other design team members' layouts - they are amazing as always! And we would love you to join us by creating a layout with the sketch and linking it up. There are some great prizes up for grabs from our sponsors:
