This has my Heart - Traveler's Notebook | Felicity Jane

Hello friends!

Today I have a traveler's notebook spread to share with you that I created using the Felicity Jane November 'Oh, Deer' kit...

I documented a cute photo of my daughter and my nephew walking hand-in-hand at the shops recently. They both adore one another, and I love capturing sweet moments like this that they share.

Here are some closeups...

I love the beautiful colours in this kit! The coral and aqua make such a pretty colour combinaton!

The floral patterned paper in this kit is just gorgeous and is perfect for fussy cutting! I created a cluster in the top right hand corner that includes one of the fussy cut flowers, a flair button, a little phrase from the cut-apart sheet, as well as a wood veneer heart.

I finished the page off with a few of the pretty sequins from the kit, and a couple more wood veneer hearts.

Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today!

Make a Wish | The Cut Shoppe

Hello!

Today I'm sharing a layout that I created using the Party On cut file set from The Cut Shoppe!

My baby girl turned 2 last month and we had a little party with family and close friends to celebrate! It was such a beautiful day, and of course I got lots of cute photos to document the day!

My layout features the Cocoa Vanilla Studio 'Make a Wish' collection!

I used two of the cut files from the Party On set...

The Party On cut file set, includes 8 birthday themed icons, that can be used for your scrapbooking and papercrafting projects.

Here are some closeups...

I created a little cluster of pretty embellishments to the left of the photo.

I love combining different alphas to create my titles! I used the word 'wish' from the Party On cut file set, which I cut out of white cardstock, and I combined this with alpha stickers from the Make a Wish collection to complete my title.

I LOVE the banner cut file!! I cut it from wood grain patterned paper and added some foam tape underneath to give it some extra dimension.

I finished the layout off with a couple of lines of journaling and some pretty butterfly die-cuts.

If you're anything like me, I'm sure that you've got lots of birthday photos just waiting to be scrapped, so why don't you pull them out, and use the 'Party On' cut file set to get them documented!

Thanks for joining me on my blog today!

My Girl | Stuck?! Sketches November 15th Challenge

Hi friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Stuck?! Sketches! Here's the November 15th sketch designed by the talented Laura Whitaker...

I love how sketches give you fresh ideas for page designs... This one is a bit different to my normal go-to designs, in that it has two vertical photos one on top of the other... I love it!! Here's my take on the sketch...

I used the gorgeous Crate Paper Cute Girl collection to document these super cute photos of my youngest daughter enjoying a cupcake at her birthday party last month!

Here are some closeups of my layout...

I used a sticker from the Cute Girl collection as the title for my layout. I think that the black contrasts nicely with the bright colours on the page.

I added more of the Cute Girl stickers around the page, some with foam tape underneath them. This is one of my favourite go-to techniques for adding extra dimension to my layouts.

The layered wood veneer pieces in this collection are just beautiful!

I created a little cluster to the right of the photos that includes a super pretty Charms Creations heart, as well as a Cocoa Vanilla flair button and a D-lish Scraps mini rose.

If you haven't done so already, I hope that you'll head on over to the Stuck?! Sketches blog and take a look at the gorgeous layouts created by my fellow design team members! We'd love you to play along with us by creating a layout based on this sketch! Link up your layouts on the Stuck?! Sketches blog by November 29th to be in the running to win a prize from one of our very generous sponsors:

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and taking a look at my layout! Thank you to those who take the time to leave a comment as well - it is always very much appreciated!

Count Your Blessings | The Cut Shoppe

Hi everyone!

Today I'm up on The Cut Shoppe blog sharing a layout that I created using the new Give Thanks cut file set from The Cut Shoppe Etsy store, as well as the Pretty Little Studio Oakley Avenue collection designed by Ashley Horton!

I love this cute photo of my three kids snuggling together in their onesies! It was taken on my son's birthday a few months ago. I always like to get a photo of the three of them together when they've just woken up, on each of their birthdays.

How gorgeous is the Oakley Avenue collection?! The colours are so rich, and there are so many fun coordinating embellishments! Even though it's a Fall themed collection, there are still plenty of non-themed elements that can be adapted to any project, as I've shown on this layout! The collection is available to purchase from the Pretty Little Studio shop.

This is the Give Thanks cut file set that I used on my layout. The 'count your blessings' phase was the perfect title for my layout!

The Give Thanks cut file set includes 5 phrases, that can be used for your scrapbooking and papercrafting projects.

Here are some closeups so that you can see all of the details...

The wood veneers and flair buttons are probably my two favourite embellishments from the Oakley Avenue collection!

I cut my title from one of the patterned papers, and then added an offset (0.1), which I cut from black cardstock. This helped to really make the title stand out! I also added foam tape underneath the cut file to give it some extra dimension.

I created a cluster to the right of the photo using lots of different embellishments from the Oakley Avenue collection... there's a tab, a flair button, a die-cut word, a wood veneer, and an arrow!

Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today! If you haven't done so already, why don't you pop on over to The Cut Shoppe etsy store to check out all the new cut files that were added last week!

Awesome | Kraft+ Guest Designer

Hi friends!

This month Charms Creations is sponsoring the challenge over Kraft+ and our design team were invited to play along with their November challenge! In case you haven't seen it yet, here's the challenge...

What a fun challenge right?! Here's my take on it...

I used denim paper on my layout, inspired by my favourite pair of denim jeans. I've scrapped a photo of my eldest two kids with their Grandfather. A few months ago he took us to the Reptile Park for the day. and we all had lots of fun, so I wanted to create a layout documenting this!

I cut the compass out of of patterned paper using a cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

Here are some closeups...

Here you can see a closeup of the Charms Creations Terrific Tab that I used, as well as the wood veneer plus signs from D-lish Scraps.

On the top left hand corner of the photo I added a vellum star from D-lish Scraps and a 'woodie' from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I used a chipboard word from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away collection for my title. I also added a black Charms Creations chevron to the right of my photo.

Head on over to the Kraft+ blog to check out all the awesome layouts by the design team, and play along with the challenge for your chance to win a prize, including a $25 Charms Creations gift voucher!

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my layout!

5 Today | Stuck?! Sketches November 1st Challenge

Hi there!

It's time for the reveal of the November 1st challenge at Stuck?! Sketches...

Here's my take on the sketch...

I loved the design of this sketch, and kept fairly close to it, except that I moved my title down to the bottom of the page and added my journaling underneath the photos. This layout documents photos of my eldest daughter's 5th birthday. She looked so adorable dressed up as a butterfly for her party! I can't believe that this was 7 years ago!

I used the gorgeous 'Make a Wish' collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio for this layout. I love the pretty colours and birthday themed embellishments in this collection!

Here are a couple of closeups of my layout...

I fussy cut this cute birthday cake out of one of the patterned papers and then added a couple of papers flowers from D-lish Scraps on top!

I created another cluster of pretty embellishments to the right of the photos that includes a Charms Creations DIY heart, Cocoa Vanilla flair button and die-cut leaves, and a D-lish Scraps flower.

If you haven't done so already, I hope that you'll head on over to the Stuck?! Sketches blog and take a look at the gorgeous layouts created by my fellow design team members! I hope that you'll play along with us by creating a layout based on this sketch! Link up your layouts on the Stuck?! Lovely | Scrap the Girls November challenge

Hello!

It's the start of November already, and that means that it's time for some new scrappy challenges! This month over at Scrap the Girls we have a fun sketch challenge to inspire you...

Here's my take on the sketch...

I decided to use one larger square photo rather than the four smaller photos on the sketch. The photo that I scrapped is one of my youngest daughter Eleanor with my Mum. They were picking flowers in the garden, and I'm so glad that I captured this sweet moment between them.

My layout features the Pink Paislee 'Take Me Away' collection by Paige Evans. The soft colours and the beautiful floral patterns were just perfect for documenting this photo.

Here are a couple of closeups of my page...

I tucked a cute little doily under the top left hand corner of the photo. I then added a white magnolia flower from D-lish Scraps on the side of the photo and tucked a couple of chipboard leaves from the Take Me Away collection under the flower. I finished this little cluster off with a gold chipboard heart.

To the right of the photo I added some more embellishments from the Take Me Away collection, as well as a flair button from D-lish Scraps. I used one of the foam words from the collection as the title for my layout. I added some foam tape underneath it, to give it some extra dimension.

I finished my layout off with some typed journaling and some gold ink splatters.

If you haven't done so already, I hope that you'll pop on over to the Scrap the Girls blog and take a look at the gorgeous layouts that my fellow design team members have created using this sketch! I hope that you'll play along with us this month! Link up your layouts on the Scrap the Girls blog by 30th November to have a chance of winning a prize from our very generous sponsor Flutterby Designs!

Thanks for visiting my blog and taking a look at my layout! Thank you to those who leave a lovely comment as well! I'll be back later today to share my design team layout for the Stuck?! Sketches November 1st challenge.
